Senior SOC Test Engineer

Job Description:
Develop and launch to production ATE for system on chip ICs for wireless systems that include radio and baseband hardware. Will work with Design Engineering to assess testability, develop and implement test strategies, document test plans, develop ATE test programs and hardware, correlate tester and bench measurements, provide ATE characterization data, and transfer test to manufacturing, offering ongoing sustaining support for each assigned project

Skills / Experience:

? 5 to 10 years experience developing hardware and software for RF receiver / transceiver applications, bench correlation, and launch to production.
? Test experience with high-speed mixed signal production test systems with RF tuner, analog, memory, and embedded processor functions.
? Background in scripting language, VEE/LabView, C programming and Unix, or Visual Basic
? Familiarity with Catalyst RF or IFlex-RF Teradyne test platforms.
? Must be a good communicator, team player, have project planning/organization skills, and demonstrated analytical thinking. Ability to debug RF, analog and digital test problems is essential.
? Excellent board/system level debugging/troubleshooting skills and lab equipment proficiency a must.
? Drive cost reduction, yield improvement projects
? Good verbal and written communication skills.
? Requires intimate work with US and Asian test and backend suppliers
? May require travel occasionally.

Education:

? Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required, Master's degree in Electrical Engineering preferred

Baseband Systems Engineer: The successful candidate should have the following qualifications
?

PhD/MS in EE with related experience (PhD preferred).

?

Strong Matlab and C programming skills.

?

Strong knowledge of communication systems and/or digital signal processing algorithms.

?

Knowledge of FEC algorithms such as Viterbi, RS, and Turbo decoding algorithms.

?

Knowledge of wireless channel models.

?

Experience with DVB-T and/or ISDB-T is a plus.

?

Familiarity with ASIC and FPGA hardware architectures is a plus.

?

Laboratory test and verification experience is a plus.

Baseband VLSI Engineer - IC Integration Focus: The successful candidate should have the following qualifications
?

PhD/MS in EE with related experience.

? Experience with AHB and APB bus protocol and analysis.
? Experience with low power design and analysis
? Experience with industry standard protocols such as USB, I2C, SPI, SDIO, memory interfaces, etc.
? Experience with DFT, including scan, JTAG, and memory BIST.
? Design experience with on-chip clock and reset generation logic.
? Experience integrating programmable and/or hardwired DSP processors into SoCs.
? Experience integrating AMS blocks such as ADCs and PLLs.
? Knowledge of production requirements such as package design, ATE test development, Failure analysis, yield enhancement, and PCB design.
? Able to communicate well with peers, management, and customers.
? Knowledge of ASIC design flow, including functional verification, synthesis, static timing analysis, formal verification.
? Laboratory test and verification experience is a plus.

Baseband VLSI Engineer - DSP/Comm Focus: The successful candidate should have the following qualifications
?

PhD/MS in EE with related experience.

? Strong RTL coding skills using Verilog and/or VHDL.
? Matlab and C programming skills.
? Knowledge of communication systems (e.g., OFDM, QAM) and digital signal processing algorithms.
? Experience designing and verifying VLSI designs for DSP such as FIR filters, FFTs, and FEC decoders (e.g. Viterbi, RS, or Turbo).
? Strong knowledge of fixed-point two's complement arithmetic.
? Knowledge of design trade-off for low power implementation.
? Experience with real-time emulation on FPGAs is a plus.
? Laboratory test and verification experience is a plus.
